Mam Tor Meditation

Based near Castleton in the Peak District, lies the mountain of Mam Tor, which means ‘mother hill’. When you are alone at the top, at 1,656 feet, one can feel a little scared if the mist starts to roll in. But instead, one feels almost wrapped up by ‘Mam Tor’ and her ‘mini hills’, comforted by nature and the landscape.

Framed in a contemporary black wood frame with acrylic glass as shown in 1st image (on show at Fronteer Gallery, Sheffield in 2024).
